Project Engineer
Role Summary:
The Project Engineer will oversee and manage engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including design, production, procurement, and contractors. The incumbent will be responsible for applying engineering principles, coordinating resources, mitigating risks, and ensuring project deliverables align with company objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Monitor and manage project progress, resolving issues to ensure project objectives are met.
- Provide technical guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review and approve engineering designs, drawings, and specifications.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and implement corrective actions as required.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure seamless collaboration.
- Prepare and present project updates, reports, and performance metrics to stakeholders.
- Ensure all project activities comply with company standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Conduct quality checks and inspections to maintain high standards of output.
- Monitor project expenses and maintain budget adherence.
- Propose cost-saving measures without compromising project quality.
Essential Requirements:
- Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project engineering, management, or a related role.
- Proven track record of managing projects within budget and on schedule.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, quality standards, and risk management practices.
- Proficiency in relevant software, tools, and programming languages (e.g., IEC 61131
- PLC Programming Standards, SQL, SCADA Development).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Customer-focused with a strong desire to assist and resolve issues.
Beneficial Requirements:
- Experience with product support in a similar industry.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms and services (e.g.Google Cloud).
- Experience with CRM or support ticketing systems (e.g., Netsuite).
